IMAG History & Science Center

The IMAG History & Science Center offers fun for all ages to discover the wonders of science and history, providing a large open environment to explore over 60 hands-on exhibits. Feed a stingray, touch animals in the IMAG LIVE! Animal Encounter shows, and visit the Living Lab to see turtles, snakes, frogs, a bearded dragon, and much more!  Gaze at the Florida native, and exotic fish in the 3,200-gallon USS Mohawk aquarium built by Animal Planet’s Tanked and visit the original fort of Fort Myers in a one-of-a-kind 3D Virtual Reality experience. Take a walk through history to meet the native Calusa, Seminole, and early settlers, or even those that roamed the land before, including the giant ground sloth, Columbian mammoth, and sabertooth cat. Dig for dinosaurs, explore Science on a Sphere and the SWFL watershed, experiment with simple machines and science in motion, then invent and innovate in the Engineering Lab. Younger visitors will enjoy the Mini Museum early childhood area.

Open 10am to 5pm Tuesdays through Saturdays and Noon to 5pm on Sundays. Closed Mondays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Edison & Ford Winter Estates

Visitors to the Edison & Ford Winter Estates will enjoy seeing the homes of famous friends Thomas Edison and Henry Ford in Fort Myers, Florida. There are more than 20 acres of historical buildings and gardens, including the Edison Botanical Research Laboratory and the Edison Ford Inventions Museum.
